Who We Are
The East Providence Lions Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization chartered in 1961 as part of Lions Clubs International. We are a dedicated group of men and women committed to serving our community and making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.
As part of the world's largest service club organization with almost 1.5 million members in more than 200 countries worldwide, we carry forward a proud tradition of service that began in 1917 when Helen Keller challenged community members to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness."
Our club proudly serves not only East Providence but also other communities throughout the East Bay region. Through vision screenings, youth programs, disaster relief, community grants, and various service projects, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of our neighbors and strengthen our community.
